Research:

My research focus is on the overlap and interplay between proteomic and genetic data. This impacts many areas relevant to forensic, anthropological and environmental research, including: human identification, sex estimation, species identification and potentially biomarkers of environmental impacts.

Education:

  • BSc (Hons), Monash University, Australia
  • PhD, Monash University, Australia
  • Post-Doctoral Fellowship, University of Alabama Birmingham
  • Post-doctoral Fellowship, Johns Hopkins University

Teaching:

  • ETX 278/FOR 278 Molecular Techniques: Recombinant DNA Technology and Applications
  • FOR 201B Forensic Science Fundamentals
  • FOR 283 Forensic Biology

Professional Activities:

  • Member of the American Society Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, American Society of Molecular Biology, International Society of Forensic Genetics
  • Regular presenter at American Association of Forensic Science (since 2010), International Society of Human Identification, Society of Wildlife Forensic Science.
