Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental toxicology, environmental science, or environmental chemistry required.
- Master’s degree in biology, environmental toxicology, environmental science, or environmental chemistry preferred.
- Course work: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Environmental Fate of Toxicants, Quantitative Analysis of Toxicants, and Principals of Environmental Toxicology.
- Entry level position, One (1)to two (2) years of work experience preferred, preferably related to performance of ecological and human health risk assessments and use of environmental toxicology principles.
- Understanding of pesticide science required, specific to California preferred.
- Background in environmental modeling, agriculture, water quality, regulatory compliance, and contaminated site assessment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
