The IR-4 Project – Western Region
- USDA-NIFA National IR-4 Project (Interregional Research Project No. 4) was established in 1963 to develop new pesticide registrations for specialty crops.
https://www.ir4project.org/ - With Virgil Freed (UC Berkeley) as first director, the Western Region moved to UC Davis in 1975 and was housed within the Dept. of Environmental Toxicology. Previous Directors include several faculty members including Tom Archer, James Seiber, Takayuki Shibamoto, Marion Miller and Ron Tjeerdema.
