Purpose
An introduction to the environmental and water resource industries through practical experience and exposure to water quality, pesticides, stormwater and agriculture, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species inventories, permits, and coordination with regulatory agencies at the county, state and federal levels.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
- Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and participate in intern program learning and development opportunities.
Do the Work
- Learn and participate in complex field assessments, physical, chemical, fate and toxicity data gathering; exposure, fate, and transport modeling and field sampling techniques.
- Conduct biological monitoring to quantify potential impacts of maintenance activities on wildlife.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited college program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Toxicology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
- One or more (1+) years’ general work experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
