Position Title
Assistant Adjunct Professor
Research:
My work is focused on environmental and public health responses to chemical exposures. This includes risk assessment and risk communication. I also have experience in biomonitoring of environmental chemicals and conducting epidemiologic investigations of human health effects related to chemical exposures.
As a staff toxicologist with the California Department of Public Health's Environmental Health Investigations Branch (part of the Center for Healthy Communities), I lead equity-based environmental health investigations involving exposures to toxicants (including aggregate and cumulative exposures) and support other activities within the branch including the new Toxicological Outbreak Program. Previously, I worked as a senior environmental scientist with OEHHA. In that role, I conducted chemical- and scenario- specific exposure assessments, provided technical support for risk assessments and related projects, and prepared and reviewed technical reports and materials to communicate complex exposure information on chemicals of interest to a range of audiences.
